Data-Tel Communications, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Mike Reeg as a “one-stop shop” for small to medium enterprises in need of telephony and carrier services.

Mike saw that these businesses were struggling to establish their carrier and telephony services under the shadow of huge multinational telecommunications firms. These growing businesses weren’t getting any customer service and were often spending far too much money on their telecom needs.

Since our founding, Data-Tel has approached client relationships in a completely different way. Data-Tel serves as our clients’ advocate, navigating the complex world of telephony and carrier services, and recommending sound solutions that we support throughout the life of our contracts.

Networking services were added to Data-Tel’s portfolio in 2004. The increasing intersection of networking and telephony created the opportunity for Data-Tel to provide even more valuable services to their existing client base, and to reach new businesses looking for someone to manage their technological needs.

Today, Data-Tel’s client base includes small to medium enterprises in the financial, healthcare, retail, automotive, and manufacturing industries, totaling $6 million annually. Our clients have saved as much as 40 percent of their total carrier expenses, through the broker model, bill audits, contract negotiations, and other value-added services that make us the premier choice for carrier, telephony, and network services.
